Nya Henry, LMSW
Nya is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of New York. She earned her BA from Hunter College in 2023 and MSW from New York University in 2025. Nya is passionate about creating safe and affirming spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.
As someone who comes from a marginalized community, Nya is dedicated to providing culturally responsive care that uplifts and represents voices often underrepresented in mental health. She has a particular passion for working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, ensuring that every client knows they have a place where they truly belong.
Nya works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She takes an eclectic approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Her work is grounded in Mindfulness Approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Strength-Based Perspectives.
Nya has experience in both community mental health and clinical settings, supporting individuals coping with complex psychosocial stressors. To Nya, therapy is more than treatment; it’s a space to be real, to ask questions, and to grow at your own pace.
